Baron Davis may be 38 years old, but he is still playing basketball like when he was schooling his opponents in the NBA.
On April 13, former NBA All-Star Baron Davis turned 38 years old. But as the saying goes, “age is really just a number,” and Davis proved it over the weekend when he made men half his age look like newbs at a Drew League game.
Davis was crossing defenders up, tossing flashy passes, and attacking the basket with his personal style and flare.
Basically, he was doing the things he was doing in the NBA when he was in his prime, which is amazing because he hasn’t played in an NBA game since 2012.

However, Davis did play in six games for the Delaware 87ers in the D-League in 2016 as a way to get noticed by NBA teams. He wanted to make a comeback, but there weren’t any teams that offered him a contract. Davis put up good numbers in the half-dozen games he played, though. He averaged 12.8 points, 3.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 22.5 minutes.
These days, Davis is mainly running his company, The Black Santa Company, which “celebrates diversity in storytelling through engaging content and high quality products.” He also does game commentary and analysis on various NBA-themed shows, such as NBA on TNT.
Davis played his final NBA game on May 6, 2012, when his then-team, the New York Knicks, faced the Miami Heat in Game 4 of the first round of the NBA playoffs. Unfortunately, he suffered a bad knee injury while attacking the basket on a fast break.

Davis played 13 seasons in the NBA and was named an All-Star twice. He went to the playoffs seven times but never made it the Finals. He holds career averages of 16.1 points, 7.2 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and many highlights.
