It looks like the Pistons may be ready to blow it all up, as they’re reportedly looking into the trade market for stars Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson.

The Detroit Pistons haven’t been able to break through in the Eastern Conference in recent years with their current roster, and they may be looking to start from scratch by making some moves.

According to a tweet from Michael Scotto, a senior NBA writer for Basketball Insiders, the team is “gauging the trade market’ for star center Andre Drummond and point guard Reggie Jackson, with the NBA Draft just around the corner.

Scotto said both stars were available to be traded a few months ago around the NBA’s trade deadline, and obviously no moves matched up to the Pistons’ interests.

Drummond has been a big piece of the Pistons having any success at all the last few years, as he’s been a dominant presence on the court in Detroit. The 6-foot-11 center averaged 13.6 points and 13.8 rebounds per game, and is averaging a double-double throughout his career since coming into the league in 2012.

Meanwhile, Jackson has been productive for the team since he came over to Detroit from the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, the point guard couldn’t match his playing time from the 2015-16 season this past year, and averaged 14.5 points and 5.2 assists per game.

The Pistons hold the 12th pick in this year’s NBA Draft, and could potentially utilize either Drummond or Jackson, or even both, to move up their pick, or just add more picks to their arsenal. There are plenty of guards in the draft available to replace Jackson should they move up higher, and they would surely get a lot in return for Drummond in any deal.

Maybe we can just skip all the madness and have the Cleveland Cavaliers take Drummond for free, and make the NBA Finals competitive again when they and the Golden State Warriors battle for the next 10 years.
