Rex Ryan has always been in the news throughout his time in the NFL, and found himself on the wrong end of a scandal after a bar incident in Nashville.

Rex Ryan and his brother Rob found themselves in some trouble while they were just trying to enjoy some time in Nashville, and now the former Bills head coach may have some legal issues ahead.

At some point in the brothers’ trip to Tennessee, either before or after their visit to the Nashville Predators game, the two got into a little scuffle at a bar, and became a viral video across the Internet.

With Rex rocking a Bryce Harper jersey, Rob donning a Clemson shirt, and even reports that a comment about feet from Rex reportedly starting the fight, this had literally every detail you’d want. However, it didn’t end as a laughing matter, as a Colorado man reportedly filed an assault complaint against Rex Ryan for the incident.

The complaint came from 30-year-old Matthew J. Havel on Sunday to the local police department, after Havel was reportedly grabbed by the neck completely unprovoked, which led to the fight. The Ryan brothers and Havel allegedly were talking for a long time before the incident, which makes it even weirder for a random brawl to just break out in the middle of the bar.

The timing couldn’t be worse for Rex, as he just recently landed a job as an analyst for ESPN, and may not have the job for long depending on how extreme this situation turns into. Whether or not he just gets a slap on the wrist, a suspension, or even fired for something like this is still waiting to be seen, but who knows what ESPN’s protocol for bar fights is with its talent?
