1. Minnesota Timberwolves

Most logically, Rose and the Timberwolves are the best fit. Tom Thibodeau knows how Rose works and oversaw him in his best years in Chicago. The Timberwolves are a half a step away from contending in the west. Ricky Rubio does not seem like a great fit along all the hyper athletic players that Minnesota rolls out. It might be a short term deal but he could help the Timberwolves.

Rose can fit well along Zach LaVine as a combo guard. Rose’s drive and dish ability  would be a boon for Karl Anthony-Towns underneath and Andrew Wiggins on the wing. Rose’s demeanor could remain in check with Thibodeau’s guidance. Then, Rose could sign a longer contract here or somewhere else, making the most of whatever he has left.
