Cleveland Browns: Which young player pops in 2017?

It’s safe to say that the Cleveland Browns have undergone quite the youth movement in the last two years under its new front office. General manager Sashi Brown and chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta have brought the proverbial Moneyball approach to rebuilding the worst run team in football for the last two decades.

Most of Cleveland’s roster is 25 years of age and younger. Eventually some of these young guys the Browns have taken in the last two NFL Drafts are going to pop. Who could be in line to make a big impact for Cleveland in 2017?

An easy candidate for taking that next step forward would have been wide receiver Corey Coleman. Frankly, it could still be the former first-round pick out of Baylor, but he did hurt himself falling on that football. Could it be defensive lineman Emmanuel Ogbah or maybe one of the many intriguing rookies coming into the fold?

Cleveland did have three first-round picks in the 2017 NFL Draft. The Browns took defensive end Myles Garrett, safety Jabrill Peppers and tight end David Njoku in the first 32 picks of the draft. Cleveland should have a solid offensive line in 2017. Look for the defense to improve under new defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. Maybe even second-round pick in quarterback DeShone Kizer wins the starting job to shock us all?
