Winning the NBA Championship didn’t stop Draymond Green. He brought the Larry O’Brien Trophy back to the gym one day after the Warriors won the NBA Title.

Draymond Green is a two-time NBA Champion. He is about to be Defensive Player of the Year. Yet, he celebrated his second NBA Championship over the Cleveland Cavaliers into the wee hours of the night. But what’s the true testament of a champion?

Green was back at the gym, working out, the day after the Warriors clinched their second NBA Title over the previously defending champions. He didn’t show up alone at the facility. Green brought along with him Larry — not his buddy, but the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

Golden State is a huge favorite to repeat in 2017-18 as NBA Champions, but Draymond Green isn’t listening to all those predictions. He doesn’t even care that there’s still four months for the NBA season to begin, he’s back in the gym working his tail off.

It probably has to do with the fact that Green wasn’t as effective on the offensive end of the floor as he wanted to be. He was an absolute beast on the defensive end, which will likely validate why he’ll become the Defensive Player of the Year.

Green is a former second-round pick from Michigan State and every day he doesn’t forget that. The Warriors’ forward doesn’t forget that he had to earn his chance in the NBA and now he has a large contract with Golden State.

It’s times like this that we remember that Green still has the work ethic of someone chasing his first NBA Championship. That’s what makes the two-time champion so unique and so likeable. It’s also amazing that Green partied the entire night away and was able to come back into the facility the following morning. Like Patriots’ Bill Belichick says, “No Days Off” for the Golden State Warriors.
