NBA Free Agency 2017: 5 potential destinations for Tyreke Evans

4. Sacramento Kings

Evans is comfortable and relevant in Sacramento. As they rebuild, Evans could be a great mentor and catalyst for its young players. Still playing at a reasonably high level, Evans could give players like Buddy Hield an opportunity to get experience both as a point guard and off the ball. Evans is so versatile, that he can play with basically any guard or forward and offer some positive contribution.

The concern is that Sacramento would pay Evans to mentor. Since Evans is not quite Kevin Garnett or the equal, it might not make sense to pay a pre-30, non-all star the amount of money that Evans would demand at his current market rate. While Sacramento rebuilds, they could look towards different options.
