2. Dallas Mavericks

A team that is guard-lite now is the Dallas Mavericks. Does anyone have confidence in Seth Curry, Devin Harris, and Yogi Ferrell? Wesley Matthews is solid, but he has an injury history. Harrison Barnes is solid, but he seems to excel more playing up to the power forward position. Enter Tyreke Evans. At a limited price, Mark Cuban could consider gambling on Evans to offer depth where Dallas is majorly lacking.

Evans could play three positions for Dallas, and if they went big, Evans could play the point guard position, and when they go small, small forward. With Evans’s versatility, the Mavericks could benefit from tinkering their lineups based on matchups. Evans likely comes off the bench as a sixth man with Dallas, but he also gets to play along some other hyper athletic combo guard-forwards. He would instantly make the Mavericks more lethal defensively and more athletic overall.
