It’s no surprise that ticket prices for Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather are through the roof, but you have to be in the 1 percent to be able to afford it.

Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor is the biggest event in combat sports. They are the two biggest names in their respective disciplines, and this fight that seemed like a pipe dream became a reality thanks to McGregor’s relentless pursuit.

Both fighters will make nine-figure paydays, meaning ticket prices will be through the roof. Anyone looking to book a trip to Las Vegas for the fight may have to think twice unless they can truly afford it. TicketOffices.com released the prices of the fight — the cheapest seat in the house is $2,000 while the most expensive floor seat is $90,000. That’s only going to drive up the cost of hotels and flights for the weekend.

For perspective, the tickets for Mayweather vs. Pacquiao ranged from $1,500 to $7,500. If that isn’t an indication that this fight will break those records, I don’t know what is. After beating Jose Aldo, McGregor said he wanted to break the pay-per-view record set by Mayweather-Pacquiao, so perhaps he had this in mind ever since then.

It seems like the only people who can truly afford this fight are celebrities. Any working-class citizen who wants to get in will either have to sneak in or know a guy who knows a guy. The fight has already run into a conflict, as a Big 3 game was supposed to take place on the same day. However, Ice Cube probably realizes what’s at stake, and it would be shocking if he wasn’t in the crowd.

Las Vegas is the fight capital of the world, and it was the only city that could’ve hosted an event such as this. Many are predicting Mayweather to win a one-sided contest, but the build-up will justify the event being this big. Expect Vegas’ private jet terminal to be jammed come August 26.
