Kyle Larson picked up his second win of the season at the 2017 Firekeepers Casino 400. How does that affect the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series standings?

After picking up a win early in the season, Kyle Larson has been close but seemingly fallen short every time of winning his second race. Whether it’s late restarts or bad luck, Larson has been chasing that elusive second win on the year. At the Firekeepers Casino 400 on Sunday, Larson finally got it. It helped in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series standings too.

With the victory Larson, has the second most points and is just one behind Martin Truex Jr. In the standings he is third overall, as a result of Jimmie Johnson having the most overall wins at three total on the year.
