The Rockies got a ton of help from Nolan Arenado in their win over the Giants, as he went for the cycle and topped it off with a walk-off home run.

Hitting a walk-off home run is impressive on its own, and hitting the cycle is one of baseball’s most rare feats for a game. So it only makes sense that Nolan Arenado would do both at the same time for the Colorado Rockies.

In Sunday’s game against the San Francisco Giants, Arenado came up big when it mattered most, as he turned a 5-4 deficit in the bottom of the ninth into a three-run home run, completing the cycle and giving his Rockies the 7-5 win in the process.

Arenado went 4-for-5 in the game with 4 RBI, and the home run gave him 15 homers on the year and 55 total RBI. It was Arenado’s fourth career walk-off hit, and third against the Giants alone.

The game completed a solid series for Arenado against the Giants, as he hit three RBI doubles for the Rockies just a few nights ago, and drove in 9 total runs in the four-game series.

Arenado is the first player to hit a walk-off homer to finish off the cycle since Carlos Gonzalez did it on July 31, 2010, who ironically also did it for the Rockies. The cycle was the 17th in Coors Field history, which tied it with Fenway Park for the most in any ballpark’s history. The funniest part: Fenway opened 83 years before Coors Field did.

As was evident by the camera completely shaking as Arenado rounded the bases, the moment sent Rockies fans into an absolute frenzy, and even garnered some “MVP” chants for Arenado. While the support may be a bit overzealous, it may be deserved for such a crazy feat.
