Here are all of the highlights from the first ever Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match.

There are very few firsts left for the WWE. However, at Money in the Bank, WWE had the first-ever women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. In the weeks leading up to Money in the Bank, Natalya, Tamina, Carmella, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair all asked SmackDown Live commissioner Shane McMahon for a shot at the SmackDown Women’s Championship. In response, McMahon scheduled a fatal five-way match to determine the No.1 contender but the match ended before it even started as all five women fought outside of the ring. After the match failed to produce a No. 1 contender, McMahon announced the first ever Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. The winner of the match will receive a title shot whenever they decide to cash in their championship opportunity.

The women opened the show with Charlotte entering the ring first followed by Becky Lynch, Tamina, Carmella with James Ellsworth, and Natalya.

Tamina is left alone in the ring as the four other women go to get ladders. As the women attempt to re-enter the ring, Tamina stops them. Tamina throws Natalya into a ladder and drops another ladder onto Becky Lynch before delivering a Samoan Drop to Carmella.

Carmella stopped Charlotte from reaching the briefcase by getting her tangled with the ladder. However, Charlotte recovered and the women exchanged forearms at the top of the ladder. Tamina re-entered the ring and pushed both women off of the ladder.

Charlotte took herself, Natalya and Tamina out of the match after she jumped off the top rope to Natalya and Tamina on the floor. Carmella and Becky Lynch were left as the only women standing. Becky Lynch stopped Carmella delivering a powerbomb and started to climb the ladder. As she reached the top of the ladder, James Ellsworth entered the ring and throw her off of the ladder. Ellsworth climbed the ladder and dropped the briefcase down to Carmella who was declared the winner despite the three referees arguing over the finish of the match.
