Corey Seager crushed 3 HRs against hapless Mets (Video)

Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager went bonkers last night, crushing three home runs in the teams win.

The Dodgers put on a dominant display last night against the Mets, but Corey Seager stole the show. He started the game off by crushing a two-run home run in the bottom of the first. He followed that by socking a solo home run in the fourth. Then hit a three-run dinger an inning later in the fifth.

A truly remarkable performance that helped the reigning NL Rookie of the Year finish the night 4-for-5 with six RBI. What’s more incredible about Seager’s performance is he had a chance to hit for the cycle with home runs. He was a grand slam away from it, and actually got a chance at one before he ultimately lined out to left in the sixth inning.

As if hitting for the regular cycle wasn’t hard enough, Seager was trying to set the tone and become the first player in history to hit one with home runs.

Seager is following up last years impressive campaign with another solid showing so far this season. He is currently hitting .293 with 54 runs scored, 12 home runs, and 38 RBI. Seager’s productive season may have been overlooked due to his rookie teammate Cody Bellinger’s special season, but this game definitely refreshed the memories of those who put Seager to the side.

The Dodgers have been on a roll lately, winning nine out of their last 10 games, and only trail the Colorado Rockies by half-game for the NL West division lead. The Dodgers are pushing for their fifth straight division crown this season, and potentially making a run at the World Series. They have stiff competition this season, but their offense alone certainly seems like it can help carry them there
