Chile vs. Australia live stream: Watch Confederations Cup online
Chile face Australia at the Otkrytiye Arena on Sunday, June 25. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Chile play Australia in match day three of the Confederations Cup this Sunday. Each side started off the tournament in entertaining fashion. Chile won their first game 2-0 against a feisty Cameroon side coming off an Africa Cup of Nations victory. They followed that up with a draw against Germany in their second group game. Australia surprised many and hung with Germany in a 3-2 loss before drawing with Cameroon in their second game.
Australia don’t have the same talent as Chile, particularly in midfield and attack. However, after performing well against Germany, they’ll be feeling confident. However, they’ll need to tighten up at the back, having conceded four goals in two matches so far. Granted, three of those came against Germany, but they rode their luck at times against Cameroon and could easily have conceded more.
The Chilean’s are known for their energetic pressing that begins with Arturo Vidal in the midfield, despite a more forward role this year. A lack of fluidity in their passing game is easily made up for with a hunger to win back the ball in the midfield. They only require a draw to guarantee a spot in the next round.

Chile have more talent and a clearer identity, and should advance to the semis with relative ease. Alexis Sanchez is probably the standout player on both sides and it’s hard to imagine he won’t cause serious problems for the Australian defense.
