DeMarcus Cousins

This team may not be any bit good, but it’s swimming in characters. The guy that is going to hit in the middle of the lineup and play some first base is DeMarcus Cousins. How he plays in a game determines how this team does on a particular summer afternoon.

Cousins will be like a Barry Bonds player, crushing every pitch thrown out over the plate. He will hit for a high average and a ton of power. The problem is that Cousins is strictly a pull hitter and is not on board with hustling on the base path. For Cousins, it’s a homer or a single, nothing else.

At first base, Cousins loves holding runners on more than anything. He will at least once an at-bat try to push the runner off first base with his glove. Cousins doesn’t slide and offers zero range defensively. He’s not cool with stretching or scooping at first. Cousins will move his glove though to make a put out. He claims if you can’t hit a 7-foot stationary target, then you shouldn’t be playing softball with him.

He is adored by his teammates because Boogie at the bat is an incredible clinic to watch. However, he will rip on at least six of his teammates for being bad at beer league softball in a game. He leads the team in homers and ejections, averaging at least one of both a game.
