Atlanta Braves: Clint Frazier

The Braves will have to decide if they plan to make Matt Kemp and Matt Adams part of their long-term rebuilding plan. Both have been offensive monsters since coming to Atlanta, but may be more valuable if they can be flipped for a top-five prospect. Georgia native Clint Frazier could be near the top of their wish list. The New York Yankees need a first baseman, and both Kemp and Adams fill that hole.

Frazier is the top-rated Yankees outfield prospect, but the organization was just as high on Dustin Fowler before he injured himself in the first inning of his MLB debut. Frazier could be next in line to be called up, but is also useful to the Yankees as a trade chip. Brian Cashman and the Yankees front office will need more than a rental like Adams to part with one of their top prospects. Kemp is so one-dimensional at this point of his career that he too would not be enough to get Frazier in a one-for-one deal.

Atlanta could include Julio Teheran along with Kemp or Adams if they plan to entice the Yankees to give them Frazier, a potential impact power bat in the corner outfield. Pairing Frazier next to Ender Inciarte would give the Braves one of the most exciting combinations in the outfield. Frazier is still fairly raw at the plate, but his power is undeniable. He is a very solid all-around player who will hit for a good average with close to 30 home runs with the right tweaks to his swing and approach at the plate at the MLB level.

The Yankees will play their cards close to the vest at the deadline, but the Braves should shoot their shot and inquire about bringing Frazier, the Georgia boy, home.
