MLB All-Star Game 2017: Starting lineups

The 2017 MLB All-Star Game will be under way on Tuesday night down in South Beach. Here is what the starting lineups for both leagues will look like.

The Mid-Summer Classic is upon us. It should be an excellent time down in South Beach, as the Miami Marlins will host the 2017 MLB All-Star Game at Marlins Park this year. This is the first time that the Marlins have hosted the All-Star Game since coming into the league as an expansion franchise back in 1993.

We’ve known the starters for both leagues for a couple of days now, but had no idea what the batting order or outfield arrangement could look like. The Houston Astros will be well represented at the All-Star Game as the best team in the American League. Three of their star players will start on Tuesday night in second baseman Jose Altuve, shortstop Carlos Correa and outfielder George Springer.

In the National League, it’s mostly about three teams in starting lineup: the Colorado Rockies, the Miami Marlins and the Washington Nationals. Third baseman Nolan Arenado and outfielder Charlie Blackmon well represent the Rockies. Outfielder Marcell Ozuna and slugger Giancarlo Stanton will start for the hometown Marlins. Four Nationals will be on display in the first inning for the Senior Circuit: Outfielder Bryce Harper, second baseman Daniel Murphy, first baseman Ryan Zimmerman and starting pitcher Max Scherzer.
