Play WWE 2K18 on the go with on your Nintendo Switch, the first appearance of the series on a Nintendo Console in over a generation

If you are a WWE fan and a Nintendo fan that has only owned Nintendo consoles, you’ve had it kinda rough the last five or so years. The last game in the long-running WWE 2K series to appear on a Nintendo console was WWE 2K13 on the Nintendo Wii. To give you an even better indicator of how long ago that was, CM Punk was the cover star! When was the last time they had a current full-time roster star on the cover of WWE game? Oh yeah, this year it’s finally happening again with Seth Rollins, so it seems fitting that now the series is also making a return to Nintendo consoles this year with WWE 2K18.

You can see the announcement for the Nintendo Switch version by the cover star himself, The Architect, Seth Rollins, in the official video below:

The Nintendo Switch is a massive hit at the moment and hopefully that momentum keeps going so everyone who can reasonably put their games on the platform will. But there is a massive difference in the level of power between the Nintendo Switch and, say, the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One.

Will the Nintendo Switch version of WWE 2K18 be a comparable experience? This year’s version is promising some big, long-overdue changes including an upgrade of eight wrestlers on the screen at a time (from six in previous games), new more dynamic commentary, new animations, and modes, etc.

The game will have all the same features as other versions, but no footage has been shown so we have no idea what the game even looks like right now. Hopefully, it’ll be awesome because I’d love to be able to take a fully-featured WWE experience anywhere I go. WWE 2K18 os out October 17th on PS4 and Xbox One, with the Nintendo Switch version having a more vague release date of Fall 2017.
