Report: AC Milan set to sign Leonardo Bonucci

AC Milan look set to continue their busy summer transfer window with the signing of Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci. The reported fee is set to be in the range of $45.6 million.

AC Milan look set to continue their summer spending spree with the addition of Leonardo Bonucci to their back line. The fee for Bonucci is reported to be in the region of $45.6 million, a hefty fee. Bonucci would join the likes of Fabio Borini, Andre Silva, Ricardo Rodriguez, Mateo Musacchio, Hakan Calhanaglou, Andrea Conti and Antonio Donnarumma as a new face in Milan. Milan look set to challenge for the Serie A title with these additions.

Bonucci, 30, has been with Juventus since 2010. During that time he has won the Serie A six times, winning it in every season other than 2010-11. Along with winning the league title he has also won the Coppa Italia three times and the Supercoppa Italiana three times as well. He won all three of them During the 2014-15 season.

Bonucci has also won multiple individual trophies during his time with Juventus. Bonucci was named to the Europa League Squad of the Season in 2013-14. Along with that he was named to the UEFA Team of the Year in 2016 and the Champions League Team of the Season in 2016-17. Bonucci was also named to the Serie A Team of the Year in 2014-15 and 2015-16, winning the Serie A Footballer of the Year in 2015-16 as well.

Bonucci has proven to be one of the most effective defenders in both Italian and International soccer during his career. Bonucci also got his first Italian National Team call up in 2010, and since then he has made 70 appearances for Italy, scoring five goals in the process.

Bonucci has helped Italy to a bronze medal at the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil as well as finishing runner-up to Spain at the 2012 European Championship.
