As we inch ever so closer to the 2017 college football season, lets take a look at the 30 most passionate celebrity college football fans.
30. Ty Burrell – Oregon Ducks
Most people know Ty Burrell as Phil Dunphy from “Modern Family,” a role he has won two Primetime Emmys for. What most people do not know is that Burrell is a huge Oregon Ducks fan, and can be seen on the sidelines during their home games. A native son of Oregon, Burrell does not hide his love for the Ducks, and has actually gone to great lengths to support the program.
Born in Grants Pass, Oregon back in 1967, Burrell would go on to play football as a lineman at Hudson Valley (OR) High School. While he never played collegiately, Burrell did attend the University of Oregon, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Since then, Burrell has worked tirelessly to become one of the more popular actors on television, and is officially a “superfan” of the Ducks.
In 2015, Burrell was party of a hype video for the Ducks rivalry matchup against the Washington Huskies. In the video, Burrell sits in a bath tub with some Ducks, showing what it takes to actually become a Duck. One of the funniest people on television, Burrell now lives in Southern California, but has never forgotten his roots.
So, the next time the Ducks are playing in a big game, look out for Burrell on the sidelines rooting on his favorite team.
