Lane Kiffin is trolling the heck out of everyone by following multiple Ole Miss accounts on Twitter.

In today’s Twitter-driven society, hardly any social media moves go unnoticed. Following Thursday’s mess of a day at Ole Miss, Lane Kiffin decided to check out a few new pages on his official Twitter account.

Kiffin turned the little white button blue on four accounts relating to Ole Miss. Included in those accounts are Ole Miss Football and Ole Miss’ athletic pictures. Now, knowing ‘Ole’ Kiffin, he’s just having a laugh at the situation and messing with the fans. However, Kiffin could eventually end up in Oxford, it’s not too farfetched.

The Rebels are now searching for a full-time head football coach for the first time since 2012. Assistant head coach Matt Luke, in his sixth season with Ole Miss, was named interim coach following Hugh Freeze’s resignation. Although Luke is a prime candidate for the full-time job, most rational college football fans would rather have Kiffin.

Kiffin is currently the head coach at Florida Atlantic. He has a distinguished head coaching background that includes the Raiders (NFL), USC and Tennessee. While FAU provides Kiffin with a good opportunity to get back into head coaching following his OC stint at Alabama, it’s hard to imagine FAU has any place in Kiffin’s long-term plans. The 42-year-old has spent most of his career on a big stage. Hardly anyone would call Conference USA a “big stage.”

While Kiffin leaving FAU before even coaching one game seems unlikely, we’ve seen crazier things happen. However, he will likely stay a year before giving another job a thought. A one-year window seems best for both involved parties as Ole Miss would also get to observe Luke as a head coach. Chances are, Kiffin was just trolling fans, but anything can happen in Lane’s wacky world.
