Paula Patton stars in ABC’s summer thriller Somewhere Between. Here’s how you can watch season 1, episode 1 live, on TV and online.

There’s a new summer mystery brewing on ABC. The network is lining up another thriller with the premiere of Somewhere Between, a murder mystery with an element of time travel and some top casting.

Season 1, episode 1 is called “For One To Live” and starts off Somewhere Between season 1 with a bang. Laura Price (Paula Patton, the Mission: Impossible films) is crushed when her daughter is the victim of a serial killer. but the universe gives Laura the ability to travel back in time to keep it from happening.

Somewhere Between also stars Devon Sawa (Nikita) as Laura’s ally, ex-cop Nico Jackson, and JR Bourne (Teen Wolf) as her husband, so the actors alone make this worth a watch.

But it’s also an interesting move for ABC, which recently cancelled its previous midseason crime drama Secrets & Lies, adapted from an Australian show. Will the network be able to find success with Somewhere Between, which is based on a Korean series?

"Somewhere Between, a suspenseful thriller, stars Paula Patton (Warcraft) as Laura Price, a local news producer in San Francisco helping the police to hunt down a serial killer. After the killer strikes close to home, a twist of fate allows a Groundhog Day-type reset, and Laura relives the week prior to the string of murders.Unlike Groundhog Day, she only has one chance. Can she change fate and stop the killer? As she unravels the mysterious connection between herself and the killer, she realizes that fate is written in stone and that changing events will require an ultimate sacrifice."
