The head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, Jason Garrett, spoke to the media today with a very Bill Belichick mindset.

Jason Garrett met with the media on Tuesday, and let’s just say he wasn’t too pleased with the questions he was receiving. The questions revolved around the recently-released Lucky Whitehead, who had the warrants for his arrest dropped after police admitted to a case of mistaken identity.

When asked about Whitehead, Garrett kept repeating “Yesterday we made a decision that we deemed to be in the best interest of the Dallas Cowboys. We’re standing by that decision, and we’re gonna move on.”

Of course, the media kept badgering Garrett in the hopes that he would give a different answer regarding the situation, but he stuck to his guns. Bill Belichick must have been watching with that slight smirk which the NFL world has come to love. It seems like every week a Cowboys player is involved in some type of trouble, and Garrett can’t keep giving the same answer when he addresses them.

Dallas seemed to be doing the right thing initially, but now seems to have put itself in a bad spot since he was deemed innocent. The Cowboys finished 13-3 last season, giving them the best record in the NFC. On the surface, they seemed poised to have another successful season, but trouble has followed them around like a dark cloud.

With training camp set to start in a few days, the Cowboys will be the team to follow. The Whitehead news will evaporate as camp gets going, but the constant worry is that another Cowboys player will be involved in some type of altercation.
