Both the Lions and Eskimos pulled off dramatic wins in week five. B.C. hung onto to a 45-42 win over Winnipeg at home. Edmonton trailed Hamilton for over 55 minutes before quarterback Mike Reilly lead his team on a 70-yard drive with 75 seconds remaining.

The Eskimos and Lions will look significantly different on offense compared to the last time the teams played. Edmonton lost starting running back John White for the season with a knee injury. In Edmonton’s win, White ran for 104 yards and a touchdown. The Lions will be without starting quarterback Jonathan Jennings for the second straight game. Jennings injured his shoulder against Hamilton but backup Travis Lulay has been fantastic in relief.
