After UCLA’s Josh Rosen went on the record to discuss the difficulty of football and school, new Chargers’ QB Cardale Jones was quick to react.

There is a new rivalry in Los Angeles and it’s one that most fans wouldn’t even expect to be an issue.

Earlier on Tuesday, UCLA’s Josh Rosen spoke to Bleacher Report about balancing the duties of a quarterback and student. Here’s the full quote of what he had to say:

"I didn’t say that, you did. Look, football and school don’t go together. They just don’t. Trying to do both is like trying to do two full-time jobs. There are guys who have no business being in school, but they’re here because this is the path to the NFL. There’s no other way. Then there’s the other side that says raise the SAT eligibility requirements. Okay, raise the SAT requirement at Alabama and see what kind of team they have. You lose athletes and then the product on the field suffers."

Immediately hearing the comments, new Chargers QB Cardale Jones took to Twitter to share his comments.

Obviously, Jones is responding to a snippet of what Rosen said, but it was a classic one-liner from the ex-Ohio State quarterback, “Chill bro, play school.”

The ironic part about all of this is the tweets that Jones sent out when he was at Ohio State about education and balancing classes. Although those tweets were deleted, it still lives forever in infamy.

Quickly, a user responded with a screenshot of the tweet that Jones sent out:

Take a man out of college football and put him in the NFL and he realizes the importance of staying in classes and completing the educational aspect.

While Rosen brings up good points, the majority continue to side with Jones — of today — arguing that education is equally as important.
