It might not be long before Ronda Rousey shows up on WWE television.

Where there’s smoke, there’s typically fire. Right now, there’s a lot of smoke to the “Ronda Rousey to WWE” rumors.

According to a new report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Rousey has expressed interest in working with WWE in some capacity. The article goes on to state that the former UFC champion has even taken bumps and begun training for a possible match.

WWE officials referred Rousey to train with current superstar Brian Kendrick in Southern California. Kendrick was tasked with helping Eva Marie improve, although we’re not sure he wants that one on his résumé.

Rousey’s ties to WWE date back to 2014 when she sat ringside at SummerSlam. She was shown on the broadcast along with fellow MMA Four Horsewomen Marina Shafir, Shayna Baszler, and Jessamyn Duke.

While Duke has started her training as a pro wrestler and Shafir is engaged to NXT star Roderick Strong, Baszler recently competed in WWE’s Mae Young Classic. Rousey was in attendance to cheer on her friend.

Her most memorable WWE television appearance came at WrestleMania 31, when “Rowdy” got physical with Stephanie McMahon. Appearing alongside The Rock, the Furious 7 co-stars ran off The Authority, much to the delight of the San Francisco crowd. Rumors ran rampant that the segment was designed to set up a potential tag team match with Rousey teaming with Rocky to battle Triple H and Stephanie. However, nothing came to fruition.

Once dubbed The Baddest Woman on the Planet, Rousey has been out of the spotlight following back-to-back knockout defeats to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes.

She recently teased a “big announcement” on her website, but that could range from working with WWE to a new television role to a wedding date.

Whatever the “big announcement” is, don’t expect the WWE rumors to stop until she shows up on RAW and challenges Alexa Bliss.
