Two decades later, see another side of Princess Diana as ABC prepares to air the two-part TV special, The Story of Diana. Here’s how you can watch online.

On Aug. 31, 1997, Princess Diana of Wales passed away after a car accident. As the first wife of Prince Charles and the mother to William and Harry, she remains one of America’s greatest fascinations. Naturally, she’s celebrated all over the world for her philanthropy, kindness and beauty, but because she died so young and tragically, the world continues to mourn. Well, mourn and search for insight into her life.

Of course, she continues to be heralded as a feminist. Though she was married to Prince Charles, they did, in fact, divorce. (The crown ain’t everything.) Plus, she was known for balancing her duties to the people and motherhood more than previous royalty.

Now, ABC plans to take yet another look into her life with two-part TV special that will include never-before-seen footage and an exclusive interview with her younger brother, Charles Spencer.

"Part 1 of 2. Princess Diana’s life and legacy are explored through interviews with those who knew her best, as well as the world’s leading experts on her. Included: archival footage. Also: a look at how Princess Diana remains relevant."

Considering how relevant the family remains both here and abroad, it comes as no surprise that several different outlets will be airing specials on the 20th anniversary of her death. Even less surprising is how some may appear scandalous and without the approval of her family. Obviously, it’s just one of those irresistible stories.

So to tune into the first part of The Story of Diana live stream, here are all the details you need to watch online:
