Arsenal looked as if they were about to get the season started off on the very wrong foot, but two late goals were able to save the evening for the Gunners.

The beginning of the 2017-18 Premier League season had everything everyone needed to get excited about the upcoming Premier League season. Arsenal welcomed Leicester City into Emirates Stadium on Friday to get the festivities rolling this season, and it appeared as if everyone would get a chance to use their Arsenal jokes for at least the next week.

Arsenal got off to a quick start in this one, with Alexandre Lacazette scoring just a little over a minute into the game to give himself his first-ever Premier League goal of his career. After that, though, Leicester City had the Gunners on the ropes for most of the game, taking a 3-2 lead in the second half off of Jamie Vardy’s second goal of the match.

With time running out, Arsenal needed some sort of miracle, and they got just that from Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud.

First, in the 86th minute, it was Ramsey who put in a goal to even everything up late in the match at 3 apiece.

Seemed as if we were headed for some extra time in the opener possibly, however, Olivier Giroud was having none of that. Just a few minutes later, he would net the goal that would secure the win for Arsenal to start the season.

Honestly, you could not have asked for more to open the Premier League season for the 2017-18 campaign. This had all the excitement you wait for after a couple months off during the offseason and the opening weekend got off to the best start possible.

To think, we have an entire opening weekend to go yet, as well as an entire season.
