After tons of teasing between the two, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose finally got two thirds of The Shield back together on RAW before SummerSlam.

Fans have been clamoring for a Shield reunion forever now, even since Seth Rollins smacked Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns in the back with a steel chair way back in 2014. Now, it looks like they’ve officially gotten their wish, at least for two of the three former Shield members.

Rollins and Ambrose have been coming to each other’s aid over the last few weeks, with each teasing a reunion between the two every week and the other walking away and leaving the other hanging.

The two got things started on RAW on Monday night  right away, both talking things out in front of the fans in Boston in a nice little therapy session. The two still got nowhere, but interference from RAW Tag Team title holders Sheamus & Cesaro changed things quickly.

After the two eventually fended off the champions, they both went to give the signature Shield fist in the center of the ring, with each seemingly being left hanging simultaneously. Eventually, the two synced up, and the brothers officially reunited.

After the reunion and the feel good moment, the crowd was treated to one more thing when RAW General Manager Kurt Angle made an appearance after the chaos ended. Angle announced that the two tag teams would battle at SummerSlam for the titles, giving Rollins the chance to possibly become a two-time tag team champion.

The match joins an absolutely loaded card for Sunday night in Brooklyn, and, depending on the result for the main event with Roman Reigns battling for the Universal title, we could see all three former Shield members walking out of the event with gold around their waists.
