Duke Blue Devils senior shooting guard Grayson Allen is feeling great about his school’s most recent commitment in power forward Marvin Bagley III.

It looks like the basketball blue-blood that is the Duke Blue Devils just got a ton better with their most recent commitment. Top 2018 high school prospect in power forward Marvin Bagley III recently reclassified and will likely enroll at Duke as part of the 2017 class.

TMZ Sports “caught up” with college basketball’s No. 1 villain in senior shooting guard Grayson Allen about Duke’s most recent commitment. Obviously, Allen is excited about getting Bagley aboard for 2017-18. Allen even mentions that he plans on mentoring the incoming freshman.

So does that mean Allen is going to teach the near seven-footer what it takes to get a Bachelor of Fine Arts in the field of tripping? Well, for the fine folks in Chapel Hill, that’s what the Tar Heels will want to believe. North Carolina can relax, as Roy Williams’ team just won another national title.

As for Allen, he can provide several things to help Bagley in his presumed one year at Duke. He can bring the freshman phenom along with what it means to play at a place like Duke, how to get the most out of his experience with legendary head coach Mike Krzyzewski and most importantly, how to handle adversity.

Should Bagley take his talents into the 2018 NBA Draft after one year in Durham, he’s sure to be a top-three pick expected to do great things for a terrible basketball franchise. Allen is a fringe NBA prospect, but could elevate to late first-round status with a great senior year in Duke.

The Blue Devils should be in contention to win another national title under Krzyzewski. Duke won it all in 2015 back when Allen was a freshman and many see the national championship game against the Wisconsin Badgers as his sort of coming out party as a collegiate player. Even if Allen was stopped at an airport while he was eating food, he was cool with talking about his new teammate in Bagley come to Duke.
