Conor McGregor: 5 people who should walk with him to the ring
By Chase Carle
4. Cristiano Ronaldo
There may not be a bigger world-wide name in the sports world than Cristiano Ronaldo. The Real Madrid forward is a fan favorite, a fashion guru and the highest paid athlete in the world.
Ronaldo has a nearly unparalleled list of honors and titles to his name. He is a four-time Ballon d’Or winner, a multi-time player of the year and has been the top scorer in the Champions League every season since 2012. And that’s just some of his individual accomplishments. The Portuguese superstar is also a three-time Premier League champion, a four-time Champions League champion and a two-time La Liga champion.
He’s also a Conor McGregor fan.

That photo was taken when Ronaldo visited Las Vegas while McGregor was training for his rematch with Nate Diaz.
The friendship between the two goes beyond simply visiting each other in training, however. That became obvious when McGregor apparently revealed Ronaldo’s extension with Real Madrid before the team did.
McGregor seems to be winning the popularity contest in the build-up to the fight already. Having Ronaldo walk out with him on fight night could send that popularity into the stratosphere.
