In advance of their season opener against Michigan, Florida head coach Jim McElwain continues to poke the bear in Michigan’s head coach Jim Harbaugh.

The Florida-Michigan matchup that’s set for opening weekend in college football continues to have more and more fuel added that the fire that it is.

Earlier this week, Florida head coach Jim McElwain went on record and let some students in Florida know what he thought was going to happen on opening weekend:

"We’re headed to Dallas here in a couple weeks to go beat the heck out of Michigan. And then come back to you guys, thanks."

Wow, pretty confident for McElwain, especially going up against one of the best coaches in the country in Harbaugh. Michigan typically embodies their head coach, who looks for the smallest chip on his shoulder. The Gators’ head coach just gave Harbaugh a huge chip heading into opening weekend.

But, hold on a second. McElwain didn’t stop there. Earlier on Wednesday, McElwain spoke to the media and fired another shot at Harbaugh:

Michigan and Florida play in Dallas in about 10 days and McElwain hasn’t even started prep? He’s had all Spring and Summer, yet he hasn’t even looked into game-planning for the Wolverines?

Seems like he’s firing another shot at Harbaugh for not releasing his roster.

Michigan was under some siege last week after a public request was made for release of the Wolverines’ roster. Michigan is one of the few teams in the country who still haven’t released who will be suiting up for them in 2017.

Harbaugh clarified this on his Twitter account, adding that Michigan will release it on August 30, just a few days before their opening game against Florida.

Looks like McElwain isn’t happy about that and he’s firing back through the media. Just makes the opening game between the Wolverines and Gators that much more interesting.
