Rashard Lewis is voted BIG3 MVP

The BIG3 has named their regular season award winners following their inaugural season.

The BIG3, a player’s league, have named their award winners for the regular season. All awards were nominated and voted on by the league players.

The biggest award, the league’s Most Valuable Player went to the 3 Headed Monster’s Rashard Lewis. The former NBA All-Star led the league in points. The 3 Headed Monsters leaned on Lewis as their anchor on the way to the championship game.

Coach of the Year went to the Rick Mahorn. Mahorn coached his Trilogy team to an undefeated regular season which included come from behind victories in two of their final three games.

Mahorn’s player captain, Kenyon Martin, won the award for Player Captain of the Year. Martin selected the Trilogy roster during the draft which led to an undefeated record.
Defensive Player of the Year went to Trilogy player James ‘Flight’ White. White led the the league in plus/minus as the anchor for the undefeated team.

Fellow Trilogy teammate Al Harrington earned the honor of Top Hard to Guard. Harrington’s unique game for someone his size led to the players donning him with this award.

The four Trilogy award winners will be at the BIG3 Championship in Las Vegas.

The league’s second in scoring, Stephen Jackson earned the award for Best Trash Talker. Jackson did not hold back his words, on and off the court. This award surprises few who have ever seen Jackson on the court or on Twitter.

The BIG3’s Russell Westbrook award, a.k.a. Best Dressed went to Power’s Cuttino Mobley. His off-court fashion matched his on-court game.

The final award, 4th Man went to Al Thorton. Thorton came off the bench for 3’s Company and provided a spark all season.
