Mayweather and Malignaggi joke about spying on Conor McGregor (Video)

New video shows Floyd Mayweather and Paulie Malignaggi joking about Paulie being Floyd’s undercover mole at the Conor McGregor camp.
The most anticipated boxing match in recent memory, between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, has been a focal point for all sports media throughout the entire summer. Even before the bout was official, media and fans alike were talking about the fight and placing wagers. Every bit of press surrounding this super fight has been entertaining, from the press conference tour to sponsorship talk.
However, the biggest story of all might have been the release of footage of McGregor’s alleged knockdown of former boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi, released by UFC president Dana White. And now, Mayweather and Malignaggi are saying (joking?) it was all an undercover operation.
Following the release of the sparring footage, there has been quite a bit of back and forth trash talk from Conor McGregor’s camp and Paulie Malignaggi. McGregor and White claim that Conor put Malignaggi to the mat several times throughout their training time together. So much so that Malignaggi left the McGregor training camp and is looking for a proper boxing match with McGregor in the future.

Last night, video surfaced in which Floyd Mayweather claims he was the one who sent Malignaggi to McGregor’s camp in an effort to spy and collect training tips. Mayweather refers to Malignaggi as “my friend” and states “me and Paulie are going to go back to the house and talk about strategy, we are gonna talk about everything.” Malignaggi offers a refrain of “suckas” and “you got it, champ.”
Conor McGregor and Paulie Malignaggi engaged in a small verbal altercation at the grand arrivals on Tuesday in Las Vegas. The bad blood between these two has grown since the sparring footage was released.
Floyd Mayweather, who is a professional at fight promotion and trash talk, has seized this opportunity to get one last dig at Conor McGregor and his training team. At the end of the video, Floyd added, “Paulie, thank you for going over there like I asked you to do.”
