Conor McGregor may not have come out on top as far as wins and losses, but he was definitely earned himself a nice payday against Floyd Mayweather.

Conor McGregor wasn’t making a ton of money in his UFC fights before changing over to the boxing world for his one night only affair, or at least he wasn’t if you compare it to what he made against Floyd Mayweather on Saturday night.

The UFC’s main draw didn’t earn the win in the ring against Mayweather, but he definitely earned himself a nice chunk of change in the process. While his biggest payout in the UFC was $3 million for a fight, he made that times 10 against the boxing legend.

McGregor’s guaranteed purse for the fight was $30 million, which isn’t a ton compared to what Mayweather made as the self-proclaimed “A-side” in the fight. However, that’s way more than he’s made in the Octagon in any UFC fight, and even put a number on the last eight UFC PPV events held in Las Vegas.

Add in the endorsement money that McGregor made in the process, and he’s walking out of the boxing ring with enough to last him a lifetime. Plus, he’ll likely be able to garner more money in any potential UFC fights, should he return to the Octagon at some point soon.

While Mayweather earned himself a $100 million guaranteed purse, alongside any endorsement money, it’s tough to compare the two fighters, given what Mayweather has earned over his career and how big he was for the fight as far as promotions and overall talent was concerned.

He obviously has a lot of love for WWE’s Vince McMahon, so maybe he could head over there next and take over the spot as the company’s “Mr. Money in the Bank” with all of the cash he pulled in for this big money fight against Mayweather.
