The Florida Gators announced two more suspensions on Wednesday for the Michigan opener, which now brings the total to 10 — TEN!

We’re now just three days away from one of the biggest games of the opening weekend for college football between the Florida Gators and Michigan Wolverines, and well, as more time goes on, it’s looking like this might be much of a game at all. At least on the Florida side of things.

Earlier this month the school announced the suspension of seven players on the roster, including leading receiver Antonio Callaway, as the players were involved with fraud relating to their scholarship funds. As if that wasn’t damaging enough to their chances on Saturday, Wednesday they announced the suspension of leading rusher Jordan Scarlett as well as another wide receiver on the roster in Rick Wells.

All in all, this brings the number of total players suspended for the Florida Gators to 10 for one of the biggest opening games of the weekend.

This is just all too much for people to take in, and the reactions on Twitter are just rolling in with the Florida suspensions now hitting double digits.

More and more tweets will continue to roll in, without a doubt, especially with the game only three days away. Hell, at this point, can we even be sure that Jim McElwain is done suspending players yet?

In all seriousness, though, being without your leading rusher AND receiver for a game against Jim Harbaugh and Michigan, no matter how many starters they lost from last season, is very much less than ideal.

Florida may very well once again win the SEC East, depending on how these suspensions shape out, but they look to be in some dangerous territory come Saturday in Arlington when they take on the Wolverines to start the season.
