4. New Orleans Saints

The Saints are a win-now team. Their elite quarterback in Drew Brees, a 38-year-old future Hall of Famer. The team is also in a bit of a pinch with cornerback Delvin Breaux fracturing his fibula. Breaux will likely be placed on the IR/Designated to Return list and will be out six weeks.

In addition, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Saints have a strong interest in Haden. They really should have a strong interest in Haden. As it stands, they are following up three straight 7-9 seasons in a division that hosts the last two NFC champions in the Falcons and Panthers.

Their lack of success can be directly attributed to their poor defensive play. According to ESPN, the Saints had the worst passing defense in 2016 and the second-worst passing defense in 2015. The Saints have already started to fix that issue by drafting Marshon Lattimore in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

While drafting Lattimore may help this year, it really is a long-term move and the Saints don’t have that kind of time. Haden could be the average piece to the puzzle that makes their defense even just a bit better. That could be all they need.
