The 2017 NFL season is right on the horizon, and two key Buffalo Bills players are currently dealing with some serious injury issues.

The Buffalo Bills head into the 2017 NFL season with plenty of question marks, including if some stars are going to be available in Week 1. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor is still in concussion protocol and newly acquired wide receiver Jordan Matthews has not been cleared for full practice with his chest injury. The Bills figured to be players for an AFC Wild Card heading into the offseason, but it appears they may be headed towards another playoff-less season.

Ezekiel Elliott is currently appealing his six-game suspension for domestic violence, and it appears the appeal will enter Day 2 on Wednesday. Elliott was handed the suspension last week and has said he is going to fight the ruling. The second-year back led the NFL in rushing yards as a rookie last season, helping lead the Dallas Cowboys to the best regular season record in the NFC.

Staying in the NFC, it looks like the Atlanta Falcons will be getting Devonta Freeman back. A week after signing a huge contract extension with the team, Freeman cleared concussion protocol and will definitely be ready for Week 1. Freeman and teammate Tevin Coleman form one of the best running back tandems in the NFC, playing a huge role in getting the Falcons to the Super Bowl last season.

Matt Forte is currently one of a few veterans on the New York Jets roster, and the team may want to change that. The Jets are currently looking for offers for Forte, who was a star during his time with the Chicago Bears. Forte was signed by the Jets prior to last season when they were trying to go for a playoff spot, but it looks like they are in full rebuilding mode now and have no use for an aging running back.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a new tight end on the roster after they traded for Vance McDonald on Tuesday. McDonald is an athletic tight end who had a solid season for the San Francisco 49ers last season. In exchange for McDonald, the San Francisco 49ers picked up a fourth-round draft pick as the new brass continues to try to build this team up via the NFL Draft.

Finally, it looks like the power of J.J. Watt is certainly working in Houston. The City of Houston has been decimated by Hurricane Harvey, which has proven to be an unprecedented weather catastrophe for the area. WWatt has put together a funding page with a goal that has now moved to $5 million. You can donate here.
