Hot Seat Watch, Week 1: 5 coaches who need to win
3. Jim Mora
There could be plenty of shakeup in the Pac-12 South this season. The two Arizona schools and UCLA could all choose to go in a different direction if things just do not turn around for them quickly.
While the injury bug bit the UCLA Bruins last year, Jim Mora’s squads just haven’t produced with the talent that they have had in the last couple of years. They haven’t been terrible minus the injury-riddled season last year, but better has and should be expected.
Simply put, if it’s another average year at UCLA, Mora’s going to have his job hang in the balance. With Josh Rosen healthy, there isn’t any reason that he should end up having a ton of success this year.
His first game is going to be a tough one, as they play host to Texas A&M. It’s a rematch of their opener from last season, but this time they’re at home. It’s a big game for both schools, as Sumlin himself is on this list.
