The Navy Midshipmen face the Florida Atlantic Owls on Friday, Sept. 1 in Boca Raton, FL. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
The Lane Kiffin era for the Florida Atlantic Owls is set to begin on Friday night in Boca Raton, FL at FAU Stadium. They’ll open up their 2017 season at home as they welcome the always dangerous Navy Midshipmen to town. However polarizing Kiffin himself is, though, he’s even more so when it comes to the team he’s assembled.
Perhaps the biggest two names on the Florida Atlantic to watch are quarterback DeAndre Johnson and now-wide receiver James Franklin III. Both of Last Chance U fame, these are two tremendous players and athletes that could really make noise on the gridiron. It’ll be interesting to see what Kiffin has planned for them with the Owls.
Meanwhile, Navy will be looking for quarterback Zach Abey to get them back into a larger national picture. They were down last year, at least in terms of past successes. However, their always potent option attack can cause defenses fits. That’s what they’ll hope for against Florida Atlantic on Friday night.
