USA face Costa Rica at Red Bull Arena on Friday, Sept. 1. Here’s all the info you need to watch this World Cup qualifier.

The USMNT will feel good about their current position in the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying table, especially given their rough start to Hexagonal play last year. They are currently in third place with four matches left in the hexagonal. The Yanks will also know that a couple poor performances can put qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in jeopardy.

They face Costa Rica on Friday at Red Bull Arena. U.S. head coach Bruce Arena has a near full strength roster to choose from. The most notable absence is right-back DeAndre Yedlin who is still recovering from a hamstring injury. Fabian Johnson returns from injury and will expect to be slotted into Arena’s midfield.

Christian Pulisic has become the focal point of the USMNT attack over the last year. With Jozy Altidore in front of him and Michael Bradley behind him, the young star should have plenty of opportunity to create chances against Costa Rica. Tim Howard in goal and Geoff Cameron at center-back should bring enough steadiness to the U.S. defense to allow their side to get a result.

Costa Rica are three points ahead of the Americans in second place. They trail leaders Mexico by three points. The Ticos are pretty much a lock to qualify for the World Cup, but they will not want to drop points.
