Giancarlo Stanton continued his incredible season by blasting his 52nd home run.

In case you didn’t know, Giancarlo Stanton isn’t human. The Miami Marlins outfielder is on an incredible home run pace this season and he continued that in tonight’s matchup against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Stanton broke the scoreless tie in the bottom of the first inning by absolutely crushing a solo home run. It was a no-doubter that looked like it was out of the Home Run Derby. It cleared the statue in center field for No. 52 on the year.

At this point, it really isn’t fair anymore.

With 28 games left for the Marlins, Stanton is going to continue his dominance. It’s something we haven’t seen since the Steroid Era, which is why this feat is even more impressive.

Since the All-Star Break, Stanton hit 26 home runs in 47 games. Talk about incredible.

But it’s not just the home runs, Stanton is having a career year. He’s already set career records in home runs, RBIs, and runs this season. He’ll likely finish the season leading the NL in two of the major batting categories. It’s certainly justification after signing the richest sports contract ever in 2014.

If Stanton doesn’t win the NL MVP, then there is something wrong with the league’s voting process.

The Marlins are likely out of the postseason race this season, but have stayed in contention most of the season because of Stanton. With other teams inquiring about possible trades, it will be interesting to see much longer he stays with the Marlins. You have to figure he’ll be playing in a big market city in a few years time. That’s just how the game works.

But for now, Stanton will continue to crush as many home runs as he can. And you can be we sure love watching them.
