Texas A&M Aggies running back Trayveon Williams not only finds pay dirt on a 72-yard touchdown run, but he gets to celebrate it with a Gig ‘Em pimp cane.

It ain’t easy scoring 72 yards touchdowns on the road against a Power 5 opponent, but that’s exactly what Texas A&M Aggies running back Trayveon Williams did to the UCLA Bruins shortly before the half at the Rose Bowl.

The Aggies led UCLA by a ridiculous 38-10 margin at the half. It was all Aggies, all the time, as the Bruins couldn’t stop anybody on defense. Texas A&M had an absurd five rushing touchdowns on UCLA. Keep in mind this is a football program that runs the Air Raid under head coach Kevin Sumlin.

No score was prettier than Williams’ 72-yarder shortly before the half. After he got done celebrating it in the end zone, he got a nice piece of hardware to help him celebrate more on the sidelines. That’s right, Williams got to strut around the Texas A&M bench with the maroon and white Gig ‘Em pimp cane. It was glorious.

With that cane, Williams could stake his claim and rule any football kingdom of his desire. His running back empire has expanded to a second colony, one much further west than College Station. Everybody seems to have a second home in Los Angeles among athletes, so why not claim the Rose Bowl part of Gig ‘Em Nation, albeit temporarily?

Figuring out the Texas A&M offense was a head-scratching practice all offseason. We knew that Williams could run with conviction and that wide receiver Christian Kirk was elite in the passing game. The biggest question was who would be playing quarterback for the Aggies.

Apparently, it’s everybody and it doesn’t matter. This is now a power-running football team in the SEC West. To beat Alabama, one must play like Alabama and Texas A&M is pounding UCLA like Alabama probably would, too.
