Sunday was not the start that the UCLA Bruins had hoped for to start their season. Twitter is reacting to the dismal first-half performance of the Bruins.

2016 was not a great year for the UCLA Bruins football team. After starting quarterback Josh Rosen suffered a season-ending shoulder injury versus the Pac-12 South rival Arizona State Sun Devils in Tempe, UCLA would stumble to a sub-.500 record and miss a bowl game.

With Rosen back to good physically for the Bruins’ 2017 home opener versus the Texas A&M Aggies, many thought that UCLA would be able to hold their own in this Week 1 game. Sadly, that has not been the case, as Texas A&M shredded the Bruins in the first half.

UCLA has no offensive rhythm whatsoever. If Rosen is supposed to be the Matt Ryan NFL prototype of a passer, why does he look like 2016 doesn’t know where the sun goes version of Jared Goff?

Turnovers and defensive ineptitude are yielding quite the trifecta for an awful first-half performance from the Bruins. The Rose Bowl is growing quieter by the second, expect for the folks from Gig ‘Em Nation that made the trek westward from College Station.

Both of these top-25 programs all-time typically get off to hot starts at the beginning of the year, only to fade once the weather changes in College Station or class begins in Westwood. Texas A&M has a ton of talent on the offensive side of the ball in wide receiver Christian Kirk and running back Trayveon Williams.

Texas A&M is about to blow the Bruins out in their own place on a primetime game on FOX. Things are clearly not going well for Jim Mora at UCLA. His seat might be getting a little toasty after this dreadful first half by the Bruins. Here is how Twitter is handling all of this bad football by the Bruins.

It’s going so bad for the Bruins right now. The Aggies are running the football on UCLA at will. This was supposed to be a competitive game. Instead, we’ve got a complete rout at the half in Pasadena.
