Florida TE DeAndre Goolsby finds out status on Twitter

Jim McElwain announced that DeAndre Goolsby is out indefinitely and of course he was aware — after he found out on Twitter himself
The Florida Gators got off to a rough start this season, losing to the Michigan Wolverines 33-17 last Saturday. They were, of course, without 10 players for this game, which left them severely short handed going up against a very talented team. They have had a plethora of question marks surrounding their quarterback situation, but they also seem to be having trouble with their tight end position.
DeAndre Goolsby was the starting tight end for the Gators on Saturday, but that might not be the case moving forward. Florida’s head coach Jim McElwain announced that Goolsby had an injury, and he wasn’t sure when he would be returning.
The specifics of the injury weren’t explained, and many were left to wonder when the injury actually occurred. One of the people wondering when the injury occurred was Goolsby himself, and he promptly responded to the tweet above.

It’s a confusing, yet hilarious situation to be in, and it continues to add to the Gators interesting start to the season.

This loss dropped Florida five spots down in this weeks AP poll, which currently has them ranked No. 22 in the nation. They will take on Northern Colorado this weekend, before they begin facing their tough SEC foes, which ultimately will push them to their limit.
The Gators certainly have a talented roster, and it will be on full display once they receive their players off suspension, including star receiver Antonio Callaway. However, Goolsby will be left wondering if he will be joining the rest of the team, and if he is all healed up from this mysterious, but supposedly season ending injury that he’s “going” through.
