The Green Bay Packers will host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon. Here is a game preview, the betting odds, a prediction and a final pick.

Sunday afternoon should be a great one because NFL football is back! One of the marquee games on September 10 has to be the one between NFC powers in the Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks.

Kickoff from Lambeau Field on Sunday will be at 4:25 p.m. ET. The No. 1 broadcast pairing of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will be calling the game for FOX in the NFC Game of the Week. Could this be a preview of the 2017 NFC Championship?

The winner of this game has to feel really good about its chances heading into the rest of the year. Even if you don’t cheer for either of these teams, it’s about to be a great football game we’ll be seeing up in Green Bay on Sunday afternoon.

According to SportsBook Review, the Packers will be laying three points to the Seahawks in this game. The associated moneylines in this clash of NFC titans will be Green Bay -160 and Seattle +140. This game’s over/under will be 51 points.

Betting Odds

Point Spread: Green Bay -3
Moneylines: Green Bay -160, Seattle +140
Over/Under: 51

These two teams are evenly matched. That is obvious by the home team Packers only laying three points to the visiting Seahawks. This would be a pick ’em if it were being played at a neutral site. It will really come down to who plays better at Lambeau: the Packers offense or the Seahawks defense?

Green Bay will be able to get into the end zone a handful of times on the Seahawks defense. Playing this one at Lambeau absolutely helps. It would be a totally different story if this game was being played in Seattle.

Conversely, Seattle will be able to put up points on the Packers’ lackluster defense. It is improved, but not anywhere close to what Pete Carroll has to work with in Seattle. This will not be a game that Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson lays an egg and throws five interceptions. That will not happen again.

Seattle’s offense will be strong enough to make sure this game’s over/under gets over that 51-point threshold. It will come down to the last possession. Down 24-21, Rodgers will have a brilliant two-minute drill, capping it off with a red zone touchdown pass to Jordy Nelson to give the Packers a thrilling 28-24 Week 1 victory over the Seahawks.

Prediction: Packers 28, Seahawks 24
