Saturday has a handful of great games on tap on the college football circuit. One of those matchups will feature two teams that haven’t played since the 1980 National Championship in the No. 15 Georgia Bulldogs and the No. 24 Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

While both programs hope to have better years than last, both schools will be starting new quarterbacks this season. This feels like a game that could be season-defining for both schools. A win for Notre Dame could help the Irish feel confident heading into its daunting schedule. By beating Georgia, Notre Dame could push for a 10+ win season and make a New Year’s Six bowl.
As for Georgia, there is a chance that the Dawgs could make it all the way to Jacksonville undefeated with a win in South Bend. The Bulldogs have a favorable schedule in the SEC this year. This could be the year the Dawgs get back to Atlanta and play in the SEC Championship.
