The LSU Tigers face the Chattanooga Mocs at Tiger Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 9, and here’s all the info you need to watch.

The LSU Tigers have big hopes for the 2017 season, largely thanks to what should be a new offense. That side of the ball has plagued this team in recent years, but they’ve revamped their coaching staff and have talent that makes things look up for them. They showed promise in Week 1, and now look to do so in Week 2 as they welcome the Chattanooga Mocs to Tiger Stadium on Saturday night.

Running back Derrius Guice is obviously the linchpin in the LSU offense as he makes things tick for them. However, quarterback Danny Etling looked maybe his best ever last week against BYU. If new offensive coordinator Matt Canada can get the quarterback producing consistently, this is a dangerous team, especially with what they can also offer on defense, even without Arden Key.

As for the Mocs, they unfortunately don’t offer a great deal of resistance for the Tigers. They have some talent like dual-threat quarterback Nick Tiano. Even still, it’s hard to say that they offer much competition for an SEC opponent.

From the way that this matchup shakes out on the surface, it should be a cakewalk for LSU. The Mocs simply don’t have the talent it’d seem to compete with the Tigers. Never say never, but this could be a blowout as Guice and Co. look to move to 2-0 on the season.
