The Arkansas Razorbacks collapsed down the stretch at home to lose a winnable game to the TCU Horned Frogs, 28-7. Twitter went off on Bret Bielema.

2017 is a massively important year for Arkansas Razorbacks football. In his fifth year leading the program, it is time for head coach Bret Bielema to get the Hogs back to relevancy in the SEC West. However, his team’s embarrassing home loss to the TCU Horned Frogs is certainly not helping.

It was a one-score game with the No. 23 Horned Frogs leading entering the fourth quarter. Arkansas would go on to shoot itself in the foot on multiple occasions down the stretch. The Razorbacks couldn’t find pay dirt on a red zone opportunity because a receiver ran out of back of the end zone while he was catching the ball. Of course, the placekicker missed a chip-shot field goal on the next play.

Arkansas would then fumble the ensuing kickoff after TCU went up 21-7 on the Razorbacks in Fayetteville. With such a short field, Gary Patterson’s team would get into the end zone one more time to win convincingly 28-7 in Fayetteville.

The heat is on Bielema, who now falls to 26-27 as Arkansas’ head coach over four-plus seasons. While he has taken the Hogs bowling in each of the last three seasons, his record in SEC play is flat-out terrible. Arkansas has gone 10-22 in the last four SEC seasons. The Razorbacks and the Texas A&M Aggies are the only teams in the SEC West to have not won 10 games in a season since 2013.

Naturally, Bielema is very much on the hot seat. He is under contract through 2020, but the Pig Sooie faithful may not be able to take it any more. His buyout numbers are ridiculous. Here is how Twitter is handling the most recent bad loss in Bielema’s tenure at Arkansas.

Basically, the tide is starting to turn on Bielema. Though it’s not as bad as what Texas A&M’s head coach Kevin Sumlin had to deal with last week, Bielema cannot have many more games like this going forward at Arkansas.
