If the Eagles can get these types of crazy plays from Carson Wentz all season, they’re going to be in for a good year in 2017 in the NFC East.

The Philadelphia Eagles started off strong last season, and it looks like they’re looking to replicate that pace as they begin the 2017 campaign, starting with some serious success from Carson Wentz under center.

The Eagles find themselves in an NFC East battle with the Washington Redskins to open up the year, and could find themselves tied for first in the division right off the bat if things fall in their favor throughout Sunday afternoon. For starters, they had one play fall right into their lap, albeit taking some extra effort from Wentz to make it happen.

Early in the first quarter, Wentz looked like an NFC East rival from the New York Giants when he went full Eli Manning on the Redskins defense and scrambled and avoid what looked like a million tackles to launch a crazy 58-yard touchdown to Nelson Agholor.

Wentz made the throw look easy despite being off-balanced and likely dizzy from all of the spins and jukes he had to pull off in the backfield, and it looks like he has improved a ton since his rookie campaign in 2016.

Now, the Eagles just need to find a way to keep up the pace throughout the whole season, and not have their success taper off after a strong start, which is exactly what happened last season when the Wentz Wagon initially took off.

For the time being, however, Eagles fans look like they’ll have a lot to look forward to in the NFC East if these are the types of plays they can pull off against some of their biggest rivals on some big stages.
